Choosing an outfit for a wedding day can often be quite tricky unless you’re the best man, usher or groom. Get it wrong and everyone will have photographic evidence of your wardrobe malfunction for life.
However, if you get it right, you’ll not only turn a few heads, but you’ll also feel more comfortable letting loose.
The key to hitting the mark with your outfit choice is the season. Opt for a dark black suit in the summer and you could be peeling yourself off the back of your chair before you’ve even finished your starter. While choosing warm pastel colours in the winter could raise a few eyebrows.

Men’s spring wedding guest outfit ideas
Spring is arguably the easiest time to attend a wedding. The weather is mild, so you can choose to go for darker shades or something a little closer to summer. Our top tip is a navy suit with a pair of our classic Chestnut Brown Oxfords.
The colour of the shirt depends on your mood and the nature of the wedding. If the bride and groom are quite wild and you’re looking to attract some attention, a pink shirt screams out ‘single’. Alternatively, for a safer option, a white shirt would easily suffice.

Cool and smart is the way to go with a summer wedding. For extremely warm climates, choose a lightweight beige blazer and cotton white shirt. Although baby blue looks fantastic, there’s a high probability it will turn a deeper shade of blue by the end of the day. Stay safe with white.
You can then match the top half with a pair of dark blue chinos and some brown loafers. Classic, casual and oozing summer all in one. To smarten the lookup a little bit more, try a blue tie to match with the chinos.

A tweed brown blazer with matching trousers and waistcoat will hit the mark. Simply combine this with a white shirt and light brown tweed tie and pocket square. In terms of shoes, a pair of our Chestnut Oxfords would complement the different textures of brown perfectly.
